About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Designer with five years of experience working at architecture or commercial interior design firms, with a preferred focus on workplace design. Designers at Blitz are central design team members and are responsible for preparing design presentations and architectural construction documents under direct supervision of senior staff. They coordinate every aspect of the design process with clients, consultants and contractors. Designers are directly involved in fostering client relationships and in project design at all levels. Our studio is collaborative, and every member of the design team contributes to the project design from programming to concept to construction administration.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

  • 5+ years professional experience.

  • Accredited degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or Graphic Design.

  • LEED and/or WELL Accreditation a plus.

  • REVIT proficiency is required.

  • Proficient in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.

  • Excellent 3D rendering skills; Enscape skills a huge plus.

  • Experience in commercial interiors.

  • Experience with core/ shell, hospitality, and retail a strong plus.

Design / Technical Design

  • Excellent technical and design skills.

  • Experience with materials research and selection.

  • Experience with Furniture and Systems Furniture Specification and management of associated budgets and schedules.

Soft Skills

  • Demonstrated history of Tenacity (our core value).

  • Ability to work within a team environment.

Basic Requirements

  • Candidates must currently reside in and have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and graphic communication skills, as well as excellent organizational skills.

  • Candidates must be able to travel to other studios as required.
