Hospitable Space for a Hospitality Firm

The new home of SB Architects is a place of refined, historic character reflective of its new neighborhood in Jackson Square.

Just as Jackson Square is the tourist hub of San Francisco, our client’s new office has evolved into a natural extension of the diverse and inviting community, integrating seamlessly with the classical structures that define the area.

The client’s focus on hospitality reveals itself in the experience of their new office. The firm’s brand has been brought to life, captivating its visitors. The curated experience is welcoming to all; whether clad in casual blue jeans or sporting a suit, the space evokes a sense of comfort in all parties. Blitz implemented a design that maintains layers, conveying interest and complexity. Natural lighting flows in through the windows, complementing the warm and inviting nature of the office.

Flexibility within the space was maximized to accommodate the energetic nature of SB Architect employees, who can be found riding their bikes into the office, gathering for yoga, or working out with fitness instructors weekly.

Casual Elegance

Diagonal views through heavy masonry portals stitch together a series of historic rooms into a single space, connecting the reception area, meeting rooms, the bespoke lounge/ tap room, and collaborative workspaces. The new office is casually elegant, gently modern, with subtle touches of the traditional. With a new hospitable workplace that embodies the culture of its surrounding environment, the SB Architects staff is now free to collaborate comfortably and efficiently.
