Thousands of live online real estate auctions are originating from this space, attended not only by the brokers involved but also visitors who come to observe. A transformation from dark tech cave to a welcoming hospitality vibe was needed to create the excitement of the sale in the room and by extension on the other end of the lines.

The goal was clear: Every seat should be a great seat, whether a visitor, an agent present in the room, viewing a live-stream broadcast or on a video chat through a workstation. All participants and viewers should feel the experience and energy, no matter where they are or what their role is. The energy should always be present and be heightened at appropriate intervals without compromising hospitable comfort.

The lighting design in a highly coordinated effort with Oculus Lighting, was a major focus for this design. The ceiling was partially layered with perforated metal that allowed for programmable ambient lighting that could be matched to the action in the room. This was complemented with a custom fixture that showcases the CoStar logo.
