A twist of delight.

LendingHome has designed a better way for people to buy homes. Their goal is simple: to create a seamless, transparent process for homebuyers, real estate professionals, and investors.

The space was designed to embody LendingHomeʼs core principals: Simple, Human, and Delightful. The all-hands pavilion serves as a cafe and presentation area, creating a cultural hub and destination point for casual meetings or impromptu gatherings. The branded yellow stairs energize the space, adding a dynamic display of color and texture to the office. The iconic yellow staircase was an important design feature as it encourages people to get together and keeps teams connected.

“When we looked for a new office in San Francisco for our growing team, we knew getting every wish list item would prove to be a real challenge. With a very limited window of time to get the project completed, we couldnʼt risk getting it wrong. The Blitz team took on that challenge and exceeded our expectations. Their ability to dig into our requirements with a data-driven lens and analyze and prioritize our needs meant we were able to make better, more informed decisions faster. Culture is critical at Lending Home, and this is the first time that we are split across four floors, which concerned us. Blitz knew how to spread functions across the floors to drive traffic that would keep our teams connected. As a result, we were able to support our rapidly expanding headcount while still keeping the special energy that makes our office uniquely “us”.

LendingHome’s new office reflects the seamless, transparent process they’ve created for their customers through clear, sidewalk-like circulation and simple spatial organization.

The space subtly creates distinct zones for each department without needing to create visual or enclosed structures. Spaces are influenced by a spectrum of urban precedents ranging from public monuments and parks, to domestic neighborhoods and backyards. Subtle interventions allow the natural beauty of the existing architecture to show through, while creating livable and delightful spaces that reflect LendingHomeʼs values. Meeting rooms and open lounges located throughout the floors enable stronger collaboration, productivity, and communication. The workspace varies in materiality and size to allow for a diverse range of uses: from open, collaborative brainstorming to private, heads-down work.
